Hurry-up Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Kiss Cookies
The Star: Peanut Buttery Chocolate Goodness
This Christmas baking time I have done something that I would have thought I would never do.
Oh, Yes, I have eaten the often available yummy goodies, I admit that.
But I have done something many may see as far worse: I used shortcuts.
- Wanting to still prepare the goodies of the holiday, I used prepared cookie mixes for two cookies only adding my own twist to the prepared mix.
- The one I used as the foundation for this recipe is put out by General Mills as a Peanut Butter cookie.
- Working with the packaged mix, adding a bit of this, and a sprinkle of magic, a very delightful, quick cookie has emerged. I hope you have the chance to give this a try.
A Great Little Cookie to Make with Kids
These cookies are very much like the Peanut Butter blossom cookies that I used to make but with a greater intensity of flavor and texture. You will find you are pleasantly surprised at how they turn out.
They will disappear very quickly. My eldest grandson told me last night that they are 'sooo good. Not crunchy, but tender and popping with flavor!' That was enough proof for me that they are as good as I thought they are.
Perhaps you can try them sometime. Easy and quick, a great cookie to make with children. They can unwrap the kisses, too, and help put them on the cookies when it is time.

- parchment paper
- a cookie dough scoop
The parchment paper hastens clean up and insures that your cookies can be lifted with ease from the baking sheet.
The cookie dough scoop insures uniform size and shape which insures that baking for each cookie will be accomplished as desired.

A Lovely Little Hint
If you manage to have any left over cookies:
pop them in the microwave for about 15 seconds...and it is just like they have come right out of the oven.

Moist, tender dough
Flavorful little peanut butter and chocolate chips add an extra zip to this cookie
Ingredients
- 2 packages prepared Peanut Butter mix
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 4 tablespoons canola oil
- 4 tablespoons peanut butter with honey added
- 8 ounces Nestle's Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chips
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 package Hershey kisses

Instructions
- Preheat your oven. Cover baking sheet with parchment paper. Place mix. oil, and peanut butter in the bowl of your mixer. Set speed to low and allow to mix about 3 to 4 minutes. Scrape bowl.
- Add water. Allow to mix about 2 minutes. Scrape bowl. Add eggs one a time. Allow to mix till dough begins to pull away from the sides of the pan.
- Add peanut butter and chocolate chips. Allow to mix for about 2 minutes.
- Using a scoop or tablespoon place mounds of dough on baking sheet spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Allow to bake about 11 minutes, remove, top with Hershey kiss, if desired Note that baking time will vary according to your oven; you want a lightly browned cookie when they are completed finished baking. Return to the oven and let cook about 3 minutes longer.
- Remove from oven. Let cool on baking sheet for about 5 minutes. Remove to cookie cooling rack to cool completely.
